There are many occasions throughout the year when we need to buy a gift for someone.  It might be for a family or friend and it could be for a birthday, an engagement, a Christening, an anniversary or any of the many other special events that you want to mark with a gift.  Choosing the right gift for the occasion can sometimes be quite difficult but some gifts are suitable for any special day.  For instance, women of all ages usually enjoy receiving jewelry as a present and it is a suitable gift for her birthday, anniversary, St Valentine’s Day or even “just because”, especially if it is a piece of heart jewelry from their loved one.

If you know what they are interested in then you can get them a symbolic and unusual gift – such as buying them a share in their favorite chocolate factory, for instance, which was a gift given to my husband on one occasion.  In this case, not only did he get a framed one share certificate, he also receives the annual reports and as a shareholder he has voting rights.  Another gift idea in this vein is the “Own land in all 50 states of America”.  This makes a great fiftieth birthday gift, for example, which is when I saw it used.
